HERKIMER - Agnes F. Servello, age 91, formerly of George Street, passed away on Saturday morning, October 27, 2007, in Wilkinson Skilled Nursing Facility, Amsterdam, after a long illness.
She was born on December 26, 1916, in Frankfort, daughter of the late Onofino and Fortunata Mancuso Farouche. A lifelong area resident, Agnes was raised and educated in Frankfort.
On June 27, 1937 she was united in marriage with Nicholas Servello in Frankfort. A loving and devoted union of thirty-eight years Mr. Servello preceded her in death in February of 1976.
For more than forty years she worked as a sewing machine operator for Derby Sportswear in Herkimer.
Mrs. Servello had a strong belief in God and led a devoted Catholic life. She will always be remembered as a loving, caring and hopeful person,
who was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be truly missed.
Surviving are her son, James and his wife Patricia Servello of Gloversville, three grandchildren, James and his wife Margaret Servello, David and his wife Lisa Servello and Randy Servello, four great grandchildren, Matthew, Courtney, Taylor and David Servello along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband Nicholas she was predeceased by two brothers, Anthony and Peter Farouche and two sisters, Rose Dileo and Carrie Semenou.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday at 2:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. The Reverend Anthony Ligato, Pastor of Sts. Anthony and Josephs Church, Herkimer will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends two hours prior to the funeral service (12:00 noon to 2:00 pm). Expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial donations to the Alzheimer Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
