Obituary

ILION Albert A. Lincourt, Jr., age 71, of East Clark Street, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, February 6, 2014 in Faxton-St. Lukes Memorial Hospital in New Hartford. Albert was born on December 22, 1942 in Herkimer a son of the late Albert, Sr. and Roseanne Burnette Lincourt. He was raised and educated locally and attended Mohawk Valley Community College where he received his Insurance Certificate. On November 22, 1969 he married the former Linda Farrington in the Herkimer Reformed Church a blessed union of over forty four years. For over thirty years he worked for the Ilion Central School District in the Maintenance Department retiring in 1997. He was an outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting and fishing or he could be with his friends playing cards. Albert was a member of the Herkimer Reformed Church, he served the church as an Elder and as a Deacon. Albert was happiest when he was surrounded by his many friends and family especially his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Surviving him besides his loving wife Linda are six sons; Daniel Lincourt, David Lincourt and his wife Tori, Jim Lincourt and his wife Barbara, Bob Lincourt and his wife Laurie, Eric Lincourt and his wife Tammy, Aaron Lincourt and his wife Deborah, a daughter; Sherry Paschke and her husband Tim, a brother-in-law Bill Hildrith and his mother-in-law Ruth Farrington, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Merton Lincourt, two sisters; Pat Williams and Shirley Acker, sister-in-law Donna Hildrith, and father-in-law George Farrington. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 7:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer with the Reverend Mark Andersen, Pastor of the Herkimer Reformed Church officiating. Calling hours will be in the funeral home on Monday from 3:00 to the time of the service at 7:00 pm. Expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial donations to the Herkimer Reformed Church envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
