RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Alfred John Hauser, age 29, of Cullen Road, passed away on Friday evening, August 8, 2008 after a short illness. He was born on July 19, 1979, in Queens, son of Alfred J. and AnnMarie Hauser.Alfred came to Richfield Springs from Queens with his family in 1986.He was a graduate of Richfield Springs High School and the Johnson-Wales Culinary Institute.For three years he worked as a cook for the Tally-Ho Restaurant in Richfield Springs. He later went to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Mary Imogene BassettHospital, Cooperstownand Folts Homes in Herkimer.Currently he was employed by Herkimer Industries. Alfred was a member of Saint Josephs Church, Richfield Springs. In his leisure time he enjoyed computers and computer games, especially Dungeons and Dragons. To those who knew him, he will always be remembered as a caring and loving young man who was happiest when he was with his many friends and family.He will be greatly missed. Surviving besides his parents, Alfred and AnnMarie are his sister, Michelle and her husband Keith Widger, their five children, Justin, Joshua, Alyssa, Destiny and Keith Widger, his companion Bonnie Johnson with her three children Patrick, Steven and Rene Johnson and Bonnies grandson Jayden Johnson all of Richfield Springs, his maternal grandmother, Marie Brady of East Meadow, Long Island, along with aunts and uncles. Funeral from J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs on Tuesday at 9:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Josephs Church, Richfield Springs at 10:00 am. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
