HERKIMER – Allen O. Bolen, age 68, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, December 23, 2021 in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown. He was born on March 20, 1953 in Detroit, MI, a son of the late Clarence P. and Doris L. (Latovsky) Bolen. For over thirty years he worked for Remington Arms Co. retiring in 2015. On May 11, 1974, he was united in marriage to the former Patricia Altamura, in St. Francis deSales Parish, Herkimer. They shared a devoted union of 40 years until her passing on November 2, 2014. For over 30 years he worked for Remington Arms, retiring in 2015. Allen enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and his motor cycle. He loved his family and spending time with them especially his cherished grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Surviving are two sons, and their wives, Allen Bolen and Cheryl, of East Herkimer, Daniel Bolen and Lynsey of Cape Coral, FL, one brother Steven Bolen and his wife, Rose of Batavia, six grandchildren, Shyanne Coffin and her husband Thomas of Richfield Springs, Cole Bolen of East Herkimer, Michael, Eddie, Patrick, and Steven Bolen all of Cape Coral, FL. Funeral service and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling houirs. Funeral arrangements are with Fenner Funeral home Inc., Herkimer. Private
