Amy M Hildreth's Obituary

HERKIMER-Amy M. Hildreth age 84 of Westwood Drive, passed away on Thursday evening October 19, 2006 in her home. She was born on September 21, 1922 in Cooperstown, daughter of the late Woodworth Badeau and Mary Bunn VanVleck Marsters. Amy was raised in Herkimer where she graduated from Herkimer High School . She furthered her education at Albany State Teacher College and graduated from Central City Business Institute in Syracuse . On November 8, 1947 she was united in marriage with Richard Hildreth in the Herkimer Reformed Church. A loving union of fifty-eight years until his passing on December 28, 2005. For many years Mrs. Hildreth worked as a Teller for Marine Midland Bank in Herkimer, retiring in 1971. She was a member of the Herkimer Reformed Church. Her outside activities included her membership with Myrtle Chapter Order of the Eastern Star; she was Past Queen of the Silver Triangle, Past Supervisor of the Triangle and was involved with the Meals-on-Wheels Program. She was happiest when she received visits from her many friends and family especially her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be truly missed. She is survived by her devoted daughter with whom she resided Mary Elizabeth Betsy Hildreth, one son William and his wife Donna Hildreth of Newburg, six grandchildren, Kevin and Kelly Hildreth, Tamara McClurg, Sarah Gougen, Ronald P. Charles Jr., Amy Johnston, two great grandchildren, Justin Pratt and Benjamin Gougen. At Mrs. Hildreths request there are no calling hours. Funeral service and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial donations to the Herkimer Reformed Church.
