Angelique Francesca Bernier passed away on February 17, 2024. Born on June 8, 1961 to parents Frank S. Grippe and Lonelle R. Grippe, she was a beautiful soul. Growing up in her treasured hometown of Mohawk, she was known for her glorious smile and compassionate presence. Angel exuded an exceptional elegance that left an impression on all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. After graduating Mohawk High School in 1979, Angel's caring nature called her to hospice work. She brightened the very last days of many lives and cared for her patients as family. Once Angel became a mother, her purpose was fulfilled. Mom was incredibly hands-on and attentive, all while instilling a love of great music, beautiful scenery and the love of family. Mom created the most beautiful home and everything was always in perfect order. Her love was felt in every way. Angel is survived by a daughter, Brittany March and her husband Thomas; a son, Benjamin Lindenmayer and his wife Shana; a sister, Jacquelyn Sutton and her husband Jimmy, a half-sister, Ondrea Grippe-Getz and her husband Steven; two grandchildren Ava and Emma; several cousins and many other loved family members. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Claude in 2016. Mom was kind, caring, had a charmingly sly sense of humor. She leaves us with such a bright light. Family and friends may pay their respects from 3:30 pm until the time of the funeral. Interment in Mohawk Cemetery II will take place later this spring.
