Obituary

RICHFIELD SPRINGS-Anna A. Guidicipietro age 91 passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon February 9, 2021 in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown. She was born on July 7, 1929 in Jersey City, New Jersey, daughter of the late William and Carmela Santillo Guarino. Anna was raised and educated in Brooklyn. On June 4, 1950 she was united in marriage to Anthony Guidicipietro in Saint Rosalies' Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn. They shared a loving and devoted union of sixty-seven years until his passing on August 23, 2017. In 2005 Mrs. Guidicipietro and her husband Anthony, moved to Richfield Springs coming from Delhi. Anna had a strong faith in God and was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker RC Church in Richfield Springs. Mrs. Guidicipietro was a dedicated homemaker, to her family the memories of the warm aromas of her fabulous cooking will stay with them forever. In her leisure time she enjoyed music, especially the singing of Frank Sinatra. In her later years she did ceramics and liked topaint with watercolors and oils. Anna will always be remembered as caring, generous and good natured lady with an unforgettable smile. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family particularly her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-granddaughter. In her heart they will always remain the happy ending of her story. She will be sadly missed. Surviving are a son, Michael Peters and his wife Christina of Claremont, NC, two daughters and their husbands, Cynthia and John Bertolotti of Columbia, MD, Carmela and Frank Chiodo of Richfield Springs, one brother, Joseph Guarino and his wife Patricia of Berkley, MI, a sister, Marie and her husband Dominic Bru'n of France, seven grandchildren, Michelle and husband Eugene, Anthony, Christy and husband Danny, Louis and wife Halley, Francesco Nicholas and Brad Joseph and Shawnda, nine great-grandchildren and one great great-grand daughter, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband Anthony she was preceded in death by a brother Carmine Guarino by her granddaughter Annmarie Dora Chiodo. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday June 11th at 10:00am in St. Joseph the Worker Church , Canadarago Street Richfield Springs. Burial to take place after in St. Josephs Cemetery Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Arthritis Assoc., 1355 Peachtree St. ND, Suite 600, Atlanta, GA 30309. Funeral arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, Richfield Springs. Mass of Christian Burial
