Obituary

RICHFIELD SPRINGS-Anne House age 82 of River Street passed away on Saturday morning February 11, 2012 in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown. She was born on March 21, 1929 in South Columbia, daughter of the late Phillip and Pauline Andreevna Senko.A lifelong area resident she was educated in Richfield Springs Central School. On May 24, 1947 she was united in marriage with F. Ward House in Cazenovia.They shared a loving and devoted union of sixty years until his passing on November 8, 2007. For sixteen years she and her husband Ward owned and operated Houses Grill in Ilion. Mrs. House was a member of the Otsego-Hartwick-Arbutus Chapter No. 301, Order of the Eastern Star in Cooperstown.In her leisure she enjoyed crocheting and doing jumble puzzles.Anne will always be remembered as a warm, caring and hopeful person. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family, especially her cherished grandchildren. She will be sorely missed. Surviving are her two sons, Kenneth House and A.J. House Sr. both of Richfield Springs, two grandchildren, Michelle House and A.J. House Jr., three brothers, Willie Senko of Herkimer, John (Ruthanne) Senko of Ilion, Andy (Kathy) Senko of Richfield Springs, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband Ward she was preceded in death by two sisters, Olga Wiernicki and Helen Zelezniak and one step-brother Steve Mamrosh. A graveside funeral service will take place later this spring in Lakeview Cemetery, Richfield Springs at a time to be announced. Funeral arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, Richfield.
