Obituary

RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Annemarie T. Hauser, age 64, of Cullen Road, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, March 8, 2010, in Valley Services, Inc., Herkimer. She was born on November 2, 1945 in Queens, daughter Marie Miller Brady and the late John Brady. She was raised in Queens and was a graduate of John Adams High School in Ozone Park. On February 6, 1966 she was united in marriage with Alfred J. Hauser in Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Ozone Park. In 1986 Annmarie and her family moved to Richfield Springs, coming from Queens. They started a Courier Business working through Bassett Healthcare Clinics. For many years Annemarie worked as a Health care professional, first as Registered Nurse and more recently at Bassett Healthcare as a unit clerk. She retired from Bassett Healthcare in 2002 due to illness. Mrs. Hauser had a strong belief in God and was a devoted communicant of St. Josephthe Worker Church, Richfield Springs where she had taught Religious Education. She also was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Rosary Society. In her leisure time she enjoyed cooking and crocheting. To her family she will always be remembered as being happiest when she was a surrounded by her many friends and family especially her five cherished grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Surviving are her devoted husband of forty-four years, Alfred, one daughter Michelle Widger and her husband Keith all of Richfield Springs, her mother Marie Brady of East Meadow, one brother, Thomas Brady and sister-in-law Joan Brady both of East Meadow, five grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, Alyssa, Destiny and Keith Widger all of Richfield Springs, a niece, Megan Brady and nephew John Brady, and her dear friend Bonnie Johnson who was the fianc of her late son Alfred, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her father she was preceded in death by her son Alfred J. Hauser Jr. on August 8, 2008. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph the Worker Church, Richfield Springs on Friday at 11:00 AM. The Reverend Terence Healy, Pastor will officiate. The family will be present in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home; 40 West James Street, RichfieldSprings to receive relatives and friends on Thursday (today) from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
