Avery John Francis Land

Avery John Francis Land, at 18 weeks in utero, was gently carried into the arms of the angels by his loving mother and father on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Wynn Hospital in Utica.

Beloved son of Michael and Meghan (Sommer) Land, and cherished little brother of Samuel Land, Avery was also adored by his maternal grandparents, Mark and Deborah Sommer; his paternal grandparents, Timothy and Vicky Land; and by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Avery will be forever cherished and deeply loved. The family asks that you keep Michael, Meghan, Samuel, and all who love Avery in your prayers in the days ahead.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, no public services will be held. They will remember and honor Avery privately in their own way. Arrangements are under the care of Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer, NY.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the maternity department at Wynn Hospital for the extraordinary care, compassion, and kindness shown to them during this difficult time.
