Obituary

HERKIMER Beatrice Marion Beswick, age 95, of Herkimer, passed away peacefully on Monday November 28, 2005 with her loving family by her side. Beatrice was born in Little Falls, on January 9, 1910 a daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth Van Valkenburg Waldvogel. Raised and educated in Little Falls she graduated from Little Falls High School and the Utica School of Commerce. She was employed as a bookkeeper for many years in Utica and retired from UNIVAC. Beatrice was truly devoted to her family and her home. She was full of love, compassion, a forgiving spirit and a guarantee of a delicious meal served in her home. The care and nurturing of her family and friends always came first. Her service to others always came before her own needs or wants as she poured love into everything she did. Beatrice leaves a lifetime of wonderful memories and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Beatrice leaves behind two devoted daughters, Elizabeth C. Spellman of Herkimer, and Barbara R. Bigney, of Nova Scotia, eight cherished grandchildren, Steven F. Adamek and his wife Stephanie of Providence, RI, Sheila R. Steere and her husband Sean of Deerfield, Jason L. Adamek and his wife Lisa, Christopher Spellman and his wife Leeanne, all of Herkimer, Matt, Elizabeth, Evan and Bradford Bigney all of Nova Scotia, beloved great-grandchildren, Daniel, Morgan, Mackenzie, Erin, Madesen, Beatrice and Denten. Besides her parents, and husband Raymond, she was preceded in death by her brother Frederick Waldvogel. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, at 10:00am in Christ Episcopal Church, Herkimer. Reverend Paul Bailey will officiate. Interment will follow in Rural Park Cemetery in Inghams Mills. The family will be present in Fenner Funeral Home, 115 Court Street, Herkimer on Thursday evening from 5:00 8:00 p.m. to receive relatives and friends. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in memory of Beatrice be made to Christ Episcopal Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family extends its sincere gratitude to Dr. Liu, the Emergency Room staff and third floor staff of Little Falls Hospital for their compassion and care during a difficult time. A special thanks to Father Paul Bailey and the members of Christ Episcopal Church for their love and support.
