RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Bernice M. Robertson age 92 passed away peacefully on Monday morning December 18, 2006. She was born on October 8, 1914 in Jordanville, daughter of the late Owen and Maude Eastwood Martin. A lifelong area resident she was educated in Jordanville and graduated from Richfield Springs High School . On May 31, 1936 she was united in marriage with William Robertson in the United Methodist Parsonage Mohawk. A loving and devoted union of sixty-four years Mr. Robertson preceded her in death on February 11, 2001. Mrs. Robertson with her husband owned and operated a dairy farm in Jordanville and in later years she was employed by the Salada Tea Company in Little Falls, retiring in 1977. Bernice had a strong belief in God and had attended the Jordanville Federated Church . To her family she will always be remembered as a loving, caring and hopeful person who gloried in the presence of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Shirley and Steven Wacyk of Hatfield , PA , Barbara and Frank Kasprowicz of Richfield Springs, eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and nephews. Funeral service will be on Friday at 11:00 am in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home; 40 West James Street , Richfield Springs. The Reverend George Greene will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedarville Cemetery . The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 pm. Expressions of Sympathy may be made with memorial donations to the Richfield Springs Emergency Rescue Squad. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
