ILION - Beulah E. Angle, age 73, our very loving and special mother, sister, grandmother great-grandmother and friend returned to God on Sunday evening November 9, 2003 after a brief illness.
She was born on March 13, 1930 in Ilion, the daughter of the late Harry J. and Ada (Waldron) Hyde. On June 29, 1947 she married Paul E. Angle in Ilion. Her main focus was always on her home and family whom she cherished with great pride.
She had a strong belief in God and was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Ilion were she sang in the church choir and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was a charter member of the AARP Mohawk Valley Widowed Persons Service and served on the executive Board of Directors. Buelah was a compassionate and loving person who was always available to help others in need. She will be greatly missed by her church family, friends and especially her family.
She is survived by one daughter, Paula D. Carey and her husband Charlie, of Yorkville, one brother, Sam Hyde of Waterford, six grandchildren, Don VanValkenburgh and his wife Cheryl, Jim Van Valkenburgh, Phil Carey and his wife Maria, Mike Carey, Christopher and Roy Abeling and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday evening 5:00 p.m. in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc. 115 Court Street, Herkimer. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
Memorial donations may be made to Mohawk Valley Widowed Person Services or the Ruth E. Abeling Scholarship Fund at Utica College. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
