Richfield Springs-Beulah F. Shoemaker age 97 passed away peacefully on Sunday November 15, 2015 in Little Falls Hospital. She was born on May 4, 1918 in Springfield Center, daughter of the late Abram and Frances Aney Willsey. A lifelong area resident she was a graduate of Springfield Center High School, class of 1938. On June 7, 1939 she was united in marriage with Clark Shoemaker Jr. in Springfield Center. They shared a loving and devoted union of seventy-one years until his passing on October 25, 2010. For twenty-five years she worked as a bookkeeper for the Richfield Springs Pennysaver. She retired in 1983. Mrs. Shoemaker had a strong belief in God and was a member of the Church of Christ Uniting, Richfield Springs. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing cards and bingo. To those who knew her she was a caring, loving and helpful lady. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving her are a son David C. Shoemaker and his wife Sharon, one daughter, Carolyn Hugick all of Richfield Springs, two granddaughters, three grandsons, six great grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Clark, she was preceded in death by a brother, Alan Willsey, two sisters, Grace Brown and Iva Weeks.
At Mrs. Shoemakers request all services and interment were private and at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements were with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, Richfield Springs.
