Obituary

HERKIMER - Beverly Jean Liddle age 84, formerly of Mohawk passed away peacefully on Sunday December 18, 2022 at the Abraham House in Rome. One of seven children, she was born on June 8, 1938 in Ilion, daughter of the late Berton and Margaret (Walters) Reynolds. Raised and educated in Ilion she graduated from VanHornesville High School. On May 9, 1959, she was united in married to DeForest Liddle in the Mohawk United Methodist Church. They share a devoted union of 32 years until his passing on December 31, 1996. She was employed at Montgomery Ward, the Curtain Factory and later at Folts Homes as a receptionist greeter retiring in 2014. Bev enjoyed sewing, crafts and bingo. A devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, she enjoyed her family, time spend with siblings, and friends. Her smile and willingness to help family and friends will long be remembered. Surviving are her son David Liddle and Ann of Mohawk, two daughters, Dawn Liddle of Herkimer, Julie and her husband Orlo W. Burch of Ilion, two grandchildren, Orlo Nicholas and his girlfriend Adreona Cook, Alyssa Burch, three brothers, Richard Reynolds, of Brooksville, FL, Robert Reynolds of Ilion, Raymond and Brenda Reynolds of Mohawk, three sisters, Barbara Gage of Utica, Joyce Roberts, Janice and Thomas Mayton all of Mohawk, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband deforest, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Gordon Roberts, and sister-in-law, Judy Reynolds. Funeral service will be on Thursday December 22nd at 3:00pm in Fenner Funeral Home Inc, 115 Court Street, Herkimer. Calling hours in the funeral home, on Thursday, will be from 1:00 until 3:00pm prior to the funeral. Reverend Joelle Faulks, pastor of the First United Methodist Church Herkimer/Little Falls and Morning Star Ministries. Interment will take place next spring in Milford Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Dr. Atul Butala, as well as the staff and volunteers of the Abraham House in Rome for the care and compassion shown Beverly during her illness.
