MORRIS Beverly Ann Mallette, age 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, May 1, 2018 at Cooperstown Center.
She was born on November 14, 1936, in Mohawk, a daughter of the late Leonard and Mildred Day Worden. A lifelong area resident she was educated in Richfield Springs School System.
On December 17, 1954, she married Earl Mallette in Richfield Springs. They shared a devoted union of thirty-two years until his passing on August 18, 1996.
For over 30 years she worked as a home care provider retiring in 1987. She was a past commander of DAV Chapter 159 and a member of the Red Hats Society. In her younger days she enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and was quite the cake decorator.
Her time spent with family, friends and grandchildren were times she treasured most. Whether it was going to car shows with her son or spending time with her sisters, especially at the casino playing slots. She will be remembers as a warm, gentle kind hearted, person and will be sadly missed.
Surviving are two children, Esther Tess Benenati of Manheim, PA, Kelly Mallette and his wife Sandra of Oneonta, two brothers, Richard Worden and his wife Beatrice of Richfield Springs, Leonard Worden of Dolgeville, three sisters, Emily Worden, Nancy Lawton and Grace Worden all of New Lisbon, eight grandchildren, Jamey Mallette, Corina Mallette, Garland Mallette, Stacy Wilson, Travis Wilson, Tasha Benenati, Bridget Schmidt and her husband Randy, Aaron Mallette and his wife Ashley, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Earl she was preceded in death by a son, Leonard Mallette, a brother Lawrence Bud and a sister Mary Myers.
A graveside service will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 am in Springfield Center Cemetery. Memorial donation may be made to the Morris Fire Department, PO Box 93, Morris, NY 13808.
