RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Beverly Joan Navratil age 73 of County Highway # 22, passed away on Saturday morning May 26, 2012 in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown. She had the comfort of her loving family at her side.
She was born on May 25, 1939 in Port Jefferson, daughter of the late Forrest and Christinia Learned Hargreaves. Beverly was both raised and educated in Sayville, Long Island. On September 21, 1957 she was united in marriage with Robert Joseph Navratil in Saint Anns Episcopal Church in Sayville. For three years Mrs. Navratil worked as a cashier for the A & P Store in Sayville before deciding to devote her life to keeping her home and caring for her family. In 2004 she and husband moved to Richfield Springs coming from Sayville. Beverly had a strong belief in God and was a member of Saint Anns Episcopal Church in Sayville and in later years Saint Johns Episcopal Church, Richfield Springs. While living in Sayville, she taught Sunday School at Saint Anns Episcopal Church and was also active with the Cub Scouts, serving as a den mother.
In her liesure time, she found much relaxation reading and doing cross stritch. To all who knew her she will always be remembered as a warm and gentle lady who enjoyed her many friends and family, especially her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be truly missed.
She is survived by her devoted husband of fifty-four years Robert, two sons and their wives, Robert D. and Cindy Navratil of East Patchogue, LI, Jeffrey T. and Elizabeth Navratil of Cooperstown, two grandsons, Joshua D. Navratil and his wife Danielle of Fultonville. Robert C. Navratil of East Port, LI, one great grandson, Joshua Dalton Navratil Jr.
Funeral service will take place in Saint Anns Episcopal Church, Sayville, LI on Saturday June 23, 2012 at 2:00 pm.
