HERKIMER - Bradford E. Sanderson, age 84, passed away on Monday morning, November 12, 2001 in Little Falls Hospital. Born and raised in Herkimer, Mr. Sanderson was a longtime resident of Herkimer where he owned and operated The Richfield Gas Station. He then worked for the New York Telephone Company until his retirement. He enjoyed collecting and restoring antique clocks and bicycles but will be long remembered for his unyielding sense of humor and his devotion to his family. Mr. Sanderson leaves his wife of sixty-four years, Beryl Locklin Sanderson; a daughter, Linda Caswell of Massachusetts; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several treasured friends and extended family members. He was also the father of the late Jerry Sanderson. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. The Reverend David Oertel chaplain of Folts Homes will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
