RICHFIELD SPRINGS - A. Carter Bloomfield age 86 of State Highway # 167 passed away peacefully on Monday morning May 20, 2013 in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown. He was born on October 3, 1926 in the town of Warren. A lifelong area resident he owned and operated the Bloomfield Dairy Farm in Warren.He retired in 1996. To all who knew him, he was a hard working gentleman.Any conversation with him was straight and to the point but you always felt a warmth and friendship whenever you were with him.He will be greatly missed. Surviving him are two sons and their wives, Russell and Rhoda Bloomfield of Richfield Springs, Bill and Vicki Bloomfield of Cooperstown, two daughters, Mary Gibbs of Newton, MA, Kit Macri and her husband Nick of Little Falls, nine grandchildren, Daniel Bloomfield, Austin Bloomfield, Alexis Bloomfield, Nick Macri and his fianc Deandra Rigo, Kate Moulton and her husband Ryan, Joseph Macri, Alexandra Macri, Elizabeth Gibbs and Olivia Gibbs, three great grandchildren, Alex Bloomfield, Desmond Moulton and Kaleb Moulton and Carters special friend, Rosalie DiPippo.Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Charles Bloomfield and a sister Betty. A memorial service for Mr. Bloomfield will be private and at the convenience of the family at his request.Funeral arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, Richfield Springs.
