Catherine M. Baker, 82 of Herkimer, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 22, 2017 in Little Falls Hospital. Catherine was born in Frankfort to Joseph and Catherine Sharrino. She attended Frankfort Central Schools and the State University at Cortland, receiving her degree in Education. Catherine taught in the Herkimer Central School District for many years and had a second career as a real estate agent with Bruce Ward and Company in Herkimer. Catherine is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Donald, son David and his wife Mary K Baker of Herkimer, son Dana Baker all of Herkimer, grandchildren, Danielle Baker of Lewiston, ME, Jillian Baker and fiance Randy Sobel of Newington, CT, Grace Baker and Jacob Baker of South Burlington, VT. Catherine chose to participate in the Anatomical Gift Program of Upstate Medical College, therefore there will be no calling hours or service.
