RICHFIELD SPRINGS-Charles Edward Adams Bo age 66 of McKoons Road, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening March 2, 2013 in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown. He had the comfort of his loving family at his side. He was born on October 24, 1946 in Herkimer, son of the late Charles E. and Harriett Orendorf Adams. A lifelong area resident he was raised and educated in Herkimer. On January 8, 1972 he was united in marriage with the former Patricia Eaker in Little Falls. They made their home in Herkimer and in 1973 moved to the town of Columbia where they have resided since. For forty years, Mr. Adams had owned and operated Bos Roofing and Siding in the town of Columbia. He retired from the business in 2010. Bo had a strong love for the outdoors. In his leisure you could always find him hunting, fishing, snowmobiling or riding his four wheel ATV. He also had a special place in his heart for dogs and horses. To all who knew him they will never forget his down to earth manner. Any conversation with him was straight and to the point yet you always felt a warmth and friendship whenever you were with him. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. He is survived by his devoted wife of forty-one years, Patricia, two daughters, Julie Grogan of Mohawk, Robin DiRienzo and her husband John of Ilion, two sisters, Jean Jacopelle of Herkimer, Jane Talarico and her husband John of Mohawk, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins along with two very special friends, Norman Lynch and Dan Davis. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Max Grogan in 1999. Calling hours for Bo will be on Friday from 3:00 until 5:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. A funeral service will follow immediately after at 5:00 pm with Jim Cogar close family friend officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial donations to the Herkimer County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
