HERKIMER - Charles W. Walz, III (Chickie), age 68, of East Herkimer, died June 21, 2012 at the Valley Health Services. He was born on April 27, 1944 a son of the late Charles and Willa Norman Walz, Jr. He was educated in Herkimer Schools and served with the US Navy for 8 years. He was employed as a machinist at Chicago Pneumatic, Fermer Tool and was last at Utica Corp. He is survived by his son Charles and wife Nicole Walz, one brother Michael and wife Pam, one niece Julie and her husband Kevin Whittaker; three grandchildren, CJ, Sam and Maddox. Also two nieces Kayla Walz and Olivia Whittaker and a nephew Michale Walz. He was predeceased by his brother James Walz and his stepfather Fritz Sadzakowski. A memorial committal service will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday July 26 at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Town of Little Falls with the Rev. Harry Teuchert officiating.
