Cindy L. Wellington, 66, of Herkimer, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, unexpectedly at her home.

Cindy was born on December 25, 1958, in Herkimer, the daughter of the late John Bahry and Phyllis Bogardus Smith.  She was raised in Millers Mills NY and further educated in Herkimer NY.  On August 22, 1981, she was united in marriage to Robert L. Wellington, Sr. and they shared 16 wonderful years together until his passing on June 7, 1997.  Cindy was employed for many years at Duofold where she made several lifelong friends.  After Duofold closed Cindy returned to school obtaining an associates degree from Utica School of Commerce.  She then went on to finish her career at Bank of America.

Cindy is survived by her sons Robert L. Wellington, Jr and his wife Jessica of Ilion and Chad L. Wellington of Herkimer, brother John Bahry and his wife Andrea, Dryden, sisters Linda Van Court and her husband Jesse of Van Hornsville and Donna O'Shaughnessy and her husband Dennis of NC.  Her grandchildren, whom she adored Garrett, Reese, Carson Wellington of Ilion and Korrina Jaquish along with several sisters and brothers-in-law and many nieces, nephews, cousins, along with her cat companion Ginger.  Cindy was predeceased by her husband Bob, parents and mother-in-law Elaine Culver.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Cindy's calling hours on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 5-7PM at the Fenner Funeral Home, Inc, 115 Court Street, Herkimer.  She will be laid to rest with her husband Robert in Oak Hill Cemetery, West German Street, Herkimer privately and at the convenience of the family.
