HERKIMER - Cleo Cruze, age 96, of 104 N. Washington Street, formally of Schuyler Lakepassed away peacefully on Saturday evening December 5, 2009 in Folts Home, Herkimer. She was born on May 19, 1913, in Oklahoma City, OK. Cleo was raised in Oklahoma, where she graduated high school and college. During her lifetime she worked as a runway model, haberdasher, and was last employed by the Exxon Oil Company. Cleo was the widow of Theodore Ted Cruze, who preceded her in death in 1983. She had a strong belief in god and was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church in Richfield Springs. To all that knew her will remember her warm smile and friendly manner. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and staff at the Folts Homes. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00a.m in St. Joseph the Worker Church, Richfield Springs, The Reverend Terrance Healy, Pastor will officiate. Internment in St. Josephs Cemetery will take place next spring. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, Richfield Springs.
