RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Constance A. Klem age 68 of Main Street passed away on Sunday October 4, 2009 in Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion. She was born on March 7, 1941 in Cooperstown, daughter of the late Robert C. and Mary Robinson Klem. A life long Richfield Springs resident; she was a graduate of Richfield Springs High School, class of 1959. She furthered her education at St. Margarets College in Albany. For many years she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown. She retired in 1979. Connie had a strong belief in God and was a member of the Church of Christ Uniting, Richfield Springs. She was a former member of the Oneonta Mountain View Social Club. To all who knew her they will remember a warm, caring and loving person who enjoyed doing for others. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. She is survived by a son, Eric C. Kiker and his wife Kathy of SC, one daughter; Venus Schrier and her husband Robert of Vass, NC, three brothers and their wives, Robert W. and Joan Klem of Richfield Springs, Charles G. and Peggy Klem of Inlet, David and Jean Klem of Tully, three sisters, and their husbands, Betty and Robert Fraser of Canton, Charlotte and Donald Butler of Richfield Springs, Marna and Keith Armstrong of Unadilla Forks, three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son William L. Kiker IV. A graveside service will take place in Lakeview Cemetery, Richfield Springs on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Lyman Johnson officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial donations to the America Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery service. Funeral arrangements are with J.
