Obituary

HERKIMER-Cynthia A. Morse, age 77, of Douglas Avenue, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday afternoon, July 16, 2009, in Saint Elizabeths Medical Center, Utica. She was born on December 7, 1932, in Herkimer, daughter of the late Harry E. and Juliette Nichols Becker. A lifelong Herkimer resident she was a graduate of Herkimer High School, class of 1950. On October 13, 1951, she was united in marriage with Joseph G. Morse in Herkimer. Together they shared a loving and devoted union of forty-six years until his passing on June 2, 1998. To those who knew her they will always remember a warm, caring lady with an unforgettable smile who was happiest when she was either working in her yard or surrounded by her friends and family, especially her three cherished grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Surviving are one son, Ronald and his wife Margaret Morse of Oriskany, a daughter, Susan and her husband Gary Stukey of Herkimer, three grandchildren, Christopher Morse of Seattle, WA, Andrea Stukey of Clifton Park, Erica Allstadt and her husband Chase of Truckee, CA, two brothers, Leon and his wife Marion Becker and Quentin Becker all of Herkimer, a brother-in-law, Karl Morse and his wife Barbara of Mohawk, one sister-in-law, Mary Morse of Canastota, a cousin, Marion Morse of Herkimer and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be on Monday at 11:00 am in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. The Reverend Paul Bailey, Rector of the Christ Episcopal Church, Herkimer will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
