ILION - DanielG. Edick, age 22, of Second Street, passed away on Thursday evening, September 19, 2002, as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born on March15, 1980 in Ilion, son of Shirley Russell and Eileen J. Haney Edick. A lifelongarea resident he was raised in Richfield Springs and was a graduate of RichfieldSprings High School. He enjoyed sports and was a member of the varsityBasketball in High School. He worked in the shipping department of Wal-MartDistribution Center in Sharon Springs. on August 18, 2000 he married ChristinaHelmer in Herkimer.
Daniel had a winningpersonality. His interests included horse back riding, cars and watchingprofessional wrestling. He was a talented musician who played drums with theband "Damnaged". He was a true friend to many and will be greatlymissed, especially by his family.
Surviving are hiswife Christina, two daughters, Nastasia Jordan and Zoe Mackenzie Edick, hisstepdaughter Jocelyn Kelly all of the home
address. His parents,Shirley Russell and Eileen J. Edick of Richfield Springs; four brothers, SteveDavidson and his wife Theresa of Kingston, Russell Alan Ray of New Berlin,Russell M. Edick and his wife Tammy, Jeff S. Edick all of Richfield Springs.Four sisters and their husbands, Shirley and Keith Winton of New Berlin, Karenand Rusty Zvirzdin of Sylvan Beach, Lori and George Fisher of Kingston, Lori andRonald Edick of Ilion; his mother and father-in-law Debra and William Helmer ofIlion; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides hisbest friend Jason Bizardi who also passed away as a result of the automobileaccident, he was preceded in death by his brother Timothy Edick in 1983.
Funeral service willbe on Tuesday at 9:00 AM in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West JamesStreet, Richfield Springs. Pastor Alan Miller, of the Bible Church of RichfieldSprings will officiate. Interment will follow in Unadilla Forks Cemetery.
Calling hours will beon Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM.
