LORIS, SC - Darryl Wayne Goodding, age 43, of East Highway #19, formerly of Richfield Springs passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday September 12, 2007.
He was born on February 13, 1964 in Herkimer, son of Charles H. and Elizabeth Cotton Goodding. Darryl was raised and educated in Richfield Springs graduating from Richfield Springs High School with the class of 1982. Upon graduation from high school he enlisted in the US Marine Corp. where he served in Beirut, Israel and Egypt. He was honorably discharged in 1986.
A resident of Loris, SC for many years he worked as a truck driver and for the past two years as Truck Foreman for Boggs Paving Company in Loris.
He is survived by two sons, Jonathan and Brendon Goodding both of Conway, SC, his parents Charles H. and Elizabeth Goodding of Ilion, one brother David Goodding and his wife Melinda of Richfield Springs, two sister, Deborah Ray and her husband Robert of Warner Robin, GA, Donna VanderGroef and her husband Ronald of Mohawk, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will take place on Monday evening at 8:00 pm in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home; 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs. The Reverend Edmund Cotton and the Reverend Harry Reed will officiate. Interment will be on Tuesday at 10:00 am in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Town of Little Falls. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Monday evening two hours prior to the funeral service from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial donations to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
