EDMESTON - Daryel Thankfull Hall, age 94, of South Street, passed away on Wednesday evening, June 14, 2006. She was born on May 9, 1912, in the town of Springfield, daughter of the late Lorenzo and Ida Mae Dawley Sammons. A lifelong area resident she was a graduate of Richfield Springs High School. During World War II she was employed by Remington Arms Company in Ilion and later by Mrs. Cheeseboro in Edmeston which evolved into the Path Finder Village. On Sept. 16, 1959, she was united in marriage to Park Hall aboard the Paula Lee Boat on Otsego Lake. Daryel and Park shared a loving and devoted union of 16 years until his passing in 1975. Together they had owned and operated the Hall Dairy Farm in Burlington Green until she retired in 1975. Surviving are one sister, Alveda Simonds of Cooperstown; two nieces, Shirley and her husband Raymond A. Foster of Schuyler Lake, Joyce and her husband Robert Mack of Athens, Tenn.; two great-nieces; and three great-nephews. Besides her parents and husband Park she was preceded in death by a sister, Elany Sammons, two brothers, Arnold and Lewis Sammons and a niece, Lucille Lincourt. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James St., Richfield Springs. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends an Saturday from noon until 1 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Manor Activities Department or the charity of your choice.
