David Lee Wellington, age 70, passed away on December 17, 2024 in Maine. David was born on August 23, 1954, in Herkimer, a son to the late Robert and Elaine Cool Wellington – Culver. He was raised and educated in Herkimer. He served our Nation in the united States Army during the Vietnam Era. David relocated to Maine and he was a self employed mechanic. Surviving him are two sons David Wellington, Jr. of Arizona Joshua Butler of Herkimer, a daughter Shannon Wellington of Maine, two brothers; Ralph Wellington and his wife Anna of Cedarville, John Wellington of Middleville, two sisters; Elizabeth Rando of Herkimer, Bridgett Riesel of Ilion, a sister-in-law Cindy Wellington of Herkimer, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sons; Jason and Sean Wellington two brothers; Charles Culver and Robert Wellington, and a sister Mary Wellington.
