RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Debra J. Harper age 49 of US Highway #20, town of Warren passed away unexpectedly on Monday May 26, 2003 in her home. She was born on August 14, 1953 in Cooperstown daughter of the late Neil and Ruth Ellen Bright Shoffstall. Debra was raised in Richfield Springs and was a graduate of Richfield Springs High School. For a number of years she lived outside the Richfield Springs area returning here in 1970. She had worked for Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown and for the last two and a half years was a transcriptionist at Saint Elizabeths Medical Center in Utica. She will always be remembered as a loving, caring and hopeful person and will be greatly missed by many, especially her family. Surviving are one daughter; 2nd Lt. Rebecca and her husband Capt. Chester Gregg (US Army) of Hinesville, GA and her dear friend and companion John Mulligan of Richfield Springs. A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:00 am in Lakeview Cemetery. The Very Reverend James Jadick will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to the Saint Elizabeths Medical Center, Utica or the American Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, Richfield Springs.
