Obituary

MIDDLEFIELD - Debra Dawn Stalter age 58 of Indian Run passed away on Wednesday afternoon April 30, 2014 in her home.She had the comfort of her loving family at her side.She was born on May 26, 1955 in Herkimer, beloved daughter of the late Theodore and Eleanor Mang Dziadik.A lifelong area resident, she was raised in Middlefield and was a graduate of VanHornesville High School.On October 18, 1998 she was united in marriage with Luther B. Stalter in Cherry Valley. For the past five years, Mrs. Stalter worked as a care giver at Home Care in Oneonta. She retired in June of 2013. To all who knew Debra, she was a caring, giving and helpful person.She found much joy in doing for others while looking for nothing in return. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family especially her cherished grandchildren. She will be truly missed. Surviving besides her devoted husband of fifteen years Luther, are three sons, Ronald Grescheck of Hartwick, Cory Grescheck of Middlefield, Jamie Grescheck and his wife Christy of Herkimer, one daughter, Kate Stalter of Ithaca, a brother, Theodore Dziadik of Richfield Springs, three sisters, Donna Demorest and her husband George of Canajoharie, Diane Buts and her husband George of Richfield Springs, Pamela Smith and her husband Jim of Jordanville, eight grandchildren, Abigail Grescheck, Morgan Grescheck, Shelby Dillenbeck, Khloe Grescheck, Averail Heller, Jensen Grescheck, Jocelyn Grescheck and Frederick Wildey Jr., several nieces ,nephews and cousins. Calling hours for Mrs. Stalter will be on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street; Richfield Springs with a funeral service to follow at 4:00 pm with the Pastor Carol Lee Coy officiating. Interment will take place in Roseboom Cemetery at a later time convenient to the family.
