HERKIMER-Derosette R. Walker 92 of 104 NorthWashington Street, formerly of Route 25A, Springfield Center and widow of HobartWalker passed away on Saturday February 24, 2001 in Folts Homes, Herkimer. She was born on July 13, 1908 in Brooklyn,daughter of the late Harry and Maude Nelson Cahill. A resident of Folts Homessince December of 1999 coming from Springfield Center where she resided with herdaughter Joan Davis. Mrs. Walker was interested in maintaining good health. Shehad a love for the outdoors, walking and swimming. She held a special place inher heart for all animals especially dogs. In later years she became a Christianmuch to the joy of her whole family. Besides her daughter Joan Davis of SpringfieldCenter she is survived by a son Robert Park of Hollywood, CA, fourgrandchildren; Kathy Dobelman, Jan Alibrando, Gary Davis and Donna Sheffield,ten great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, several nieces andnephews. One brother preceded her in death. A graveside funeral service will be held laterthis spring in Lakeview Cemetery, Richfield Springs at a time to be announced.The Reverend James Barnes will officiate. There are no calling hours.
