LITTLE FALLS-Donald R. Devendorf age 73 of Top Notch Road passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning June 25, 2010 in Little Falls Hospital. He was born on May 1, 1937 in Maryland, NY and was the son of the late Louise Devendorf. From the time that Donald was a young man, he had worked as a farm hand on various farms in the area. Since 1990 he has worked as an assembler with Herkimer Industries in Herkimer. In March of 2009 he moved to his current address in Little Falls coming from Herkimer. He had a strong belief in God and led a devoted Catholic life. He regularly attended Saint Francis deSales Church in Herkimer and Holy Family Churchin Little Falls. In his leisure time Donald enjoyed walking and going out for a good cup of coffee. He always looked forward to his yearly vacation that was spent at western dude ranches. He leaves behind a brother, Arthur Devendorf of Massena, three sisters Ruth, Dorothy and Virginia all of Florida, several nieces, nephews and cousins along with many cherished friends and staff members at CNYDSO in Herkimer and Little Falls. Funeral service will be on Tuesday at 2:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. The Reverend Mark Cunningham, Pastor of Saint Francis deSales Church, Herkimer will officiate. Interment will follow inCalvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 until 2:00 pm.
