ROME – Donald Lynn Graves, age 75, passed away peacefully in the Abraham House, Rome. Donald was born on July 19, 1947 in Herkimer a son to the late Earl, Sr. and Eva (Carr) Graves. He was raised and educated in Poland attending Poland Central School. He was a handyman and Jack of all Trades. He took care of many people and would always lend a helping hand when needed, weather it was a place to stay or something needed. He was a great man (father, grandpa, and great grandfather) and will truly be missed by so many who knew him. He is survived by his eight children Joseph Foster of Utica, Johnny(Melissa) Foster of SC, Robert Foster of SC, Quita(Tim) Moynihan of Herkimer Bonita(Kathy)Graves of Herkimer, Angela(Elmer) Simpson of Utica, Denise(Thomas) Smith of Ilion and Brandon(Brittany)Graves of Rome, a brother Earl Graves, Jr. and his wife Carol of NC, one sister Irene Cristman of Coldbrook, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son Daniel Foster and his sister Joyce VanNort. Services for Mr. Graves will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are with Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. Private
