RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Donald Russell Lawton age 54 of Truman Road, Burlington Flats, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday afternoon April 24, 2012 in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown.He had the comfort of his loving wife at his side. He was born on November 14, 1957 in Plattsburgh, son of the late Russell and Ethel LaValley St. Andrew.He was raised in Albany and was educated in St. Marys School in Albany. An honorably discharged US Army veteran he served proudly from 1975 until 1978. On July 12, 1997 he was united in marriage with the former Jennifer Sue Talarico in Schoharie. They made their home in Richfield Springs until two years ago, moving to Burlington Flats. Don had a strong love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting season.But to all who knew him they will always remember his musical talent, both singing and song writing.He will be greatly missed. Surviving are his devoted wife of fourteen years Jennifer, a cherished son Christopher Lawton, four brothers, Michael and Richard Lawton, Matt and Joseph Pickett, five grandchildren, Dillon, Bryin and Hailey Lawton, McKalyla Roberts and Samantha Prehan, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service and interment for Mr. Lawton are private and at the convenience of the family.Funeral arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, Richfield Springs.
