Obituary

MOHAWK - Donna Lee (DeForest) Sweet - Our hearts are broken as Donna age 48 passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 30, 2004, in the presence of her family at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Utica. She was born on January 27, 1956 in Herkimer, a daughter of Frederick DeForest and Joyce (Harter) Kimsey. A lifelong area resident she graduated from Richfield Springs High School and continued nursing school at SUNY Delhi. She devoted over twenty-five years to the nursing profession, working for Ilion Hospital until it closed. She was currently employed at Little Falls Hospital. Donna was a very giving person and enjoyed helping anyone in need. She was full of life, a practical joker, and enjoyed making people laugh. She had a passion for all types of music, enjoyed reading, playing games on the computer, the Buffalo Bills, her cats and the color purple. She is loved by everyone who was blessed enough to have known her. To her family she was the rock and the glue that held them together through good and bad times. Her happiest life events were the birth of her son and her marriage to Frank, theyre times together traveling and camping. Her memory will forever live on within the hearts of her many friends, co-workers and especially her family. She is missed deeply by those she leaves behind; loving husband Franklin, her wonderful son Jason Paul Sweet, her mother Joyce Kimsey and her husband Dale, of Richfield Springs, her father Frederick DeForest and his wife Pat of Edmeston, her siblings and partners Michael, Kathy, Dave, Laura, Matthew, Janeene, Laurie, Craig, Timothy, Amy, Susan, Jeff, Jeffrey & Sue, her father and mother in law George & Shirley Sweet of Mohawk, sister in laws and spouses Michelle, Shelly, Dan, Angela, Nadine, Charles, Brenda & Raymond, nieces and nephews, including, Riley, Freddie, Stephanie, Travis, Cody, Connor, Aydin, Audrey, Katlyn, Brad, Alexia, Kristie & Scott) several cousins including Penelope, Aunt Alice and Uncle Ron.
