RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Dorothy M.Evans, 80, of Prospect Street, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, August 8, 2001, in Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion. She was born on February 9, 1921 in St.Johnsville, NY, daughter of the late Eugene and Mabel Moyer Snyder. A lifelongRichfield Springs resident she was a graduate of Richfield Springs High School.On January 31, 1947 she married Everett A. Evans in the Presbyterian Church,Richfield Springs. A loving union of forty-five years until his passing on July19, 1992. For ten years Mrs. Evans worked for the General Electric Company inUtica and for eight years with the Pic & Pic Store Richfield Springsretiring in 1985. She was a member of the Church of ChristUniting, Richfield Springs. Surviving her are four daughters, TrudyEvans, June Harvey and her husband Gary all of Pasadena, TX, Linda Graveldingand her husband Joseph of Deer Park TX, Barbara Olsen and her husband Kenneth ofWestford; three sisters, Ruth Owen, Ida Berry and Edith Suhocki all of RichfieldSprings; seven grandchildren, Christy and Billy Armstrong, Brendon Clements,Heath Harvey, Jennifer and Jill Gravelding and Kenneth Olsen Jr.; fivegreat-grandchildren, Alec and Alyissa Armstrong, Kyle and Caitlyn Fletcher andPaige Harvey, several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was precededin death by three brothers, Emery, Alfred and Alvin Snyder, three sisters,Marjorie Griffis, Hazel Snyder and Pearl Waldruff. There are no calling hours.
