RICHFIELD SPRINGS-Dorothy Estella Robinson, age 77, ofWindsor Drive, Monroe, GA, passed away on Tuesday March 27, 2001 in the SocialCircle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Walton, GA.
She was born on March 12, 1924, in Frankfort, daughter of thelate Chester A. and Helen O'Rourke Sturges. Dorothy was raised and educated inboth Frankfort and Mohawk, graduating from Mohawk High School.
On November 19, 1949, she married James C. Robinson in theMohawk United Methodist Church. For many years she worked as a bookkeeper forBeaney Transport Company in Rochester until her retirement.
She was of the Methodist faith. When she lived locally shewas a member of the Ilion Bowling League, AARP and was a former member of theMohawk Chapter # 319 Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving besides her husband of fifty-one years James, areone son, John E. Robinson, of Doraville, GA; a daughter, Jayne R. and herhusband David Rogers, of Loganville, GA; one brother, Harry and his wife MarieSturges of Ravena; two sisters and their husbands, Marian and James Legg, ofEast Herkimer, Mildred and Horace Stone, of Richfield Springs; onegranddaughter, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be on Friday at 2:00 p.m. in J. SeatonMcGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs. The ReverendJames Barnes, II, pastor of Jordanville Federated Church of Christ, willofficiate.
Interment in Lakeview Cemetery will be later this spring. Thefamily will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends onFriday from 11:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Envelopeswill be available at the funeral home.
