UTICA - Dorothy M. Yeoman, 81, of Saratoga Street, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Jan. 29, 2004, in her home.
She was born Aug. 18, 1922, in Richfield Springs, daughter of the late John and Rugena Guyer Perrone. Dorothy was raised and educated in Richfield Springs until 1933, when her family moved to Utica. She was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. During World War II she entered the U.S. Army and served with the Women's Army Corps, receiving the European-Africa-Middle Eastern Service Medal, the WAAC Service Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal. She was honorably discharged in 1945. At one time she had worked as a bookkeeper for the Snyder Bicycle Manufacturing Co. in Little Falls and later for Montgomery Ward. She was of the Episcopal faith. Surviving are two brothers, George Perrone of Whitesboro and Lyle Perrone of Texas, several nieces and nephews along with her best friend, Kathy Ward. Besides her parents, two brothers, Howard and Kenneth Perrone, preceded her in death. There are no calling hours. Mrs. Yeoman will be laid to rest with military honors on Tuesday, at 2 p.m. in Lakeview Cemetery, Richfield Springs. The Rev. John Dixon Barlte, Rector of Saint John's Episcopal Church, Richfield Springs will officiate. Everyone is invited to attend. Funeral arrangements are with J.
