MOHAWK - Douglas W. Odell age 66 of State Highway # 168 entered into eternal rest on Thursday morning September 9, 2004 in Valley Health Services Inc. He was born April 22, 1938 in Utica, son of the late Alexander M. and Margaret L. Jewett Odell. A lifelong area resident he was raised in Utica and has resided in Mohawk since 1997. He was a member of Saint Augustines Episcopal Church, Ilion. Doug will always be remembered as a very special person to every one he met. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his many friends and extended family Dan and Mary- Margaret Riesel. Surviving are his caregivers, Dan and Mary-Margaret of Mohawk with whom he resided and a cousin F. Neil and his wife Babe White of New Smyrna Beach, FL. Funeral service will take place on Saturday at 11:00 am in Fenner Funeral Home Inc. 115 Court Street, Herkimer. The Reverend Thomas Trees, Rector of Saint Augustines Episcopal Church, Ilion will officiate. Mr. Odell will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton.
