MOHAWK-Edna M. Prosser age 59 of East Main Street passed away on Thursday afternoon July 18, 2002 in the comfort of her home with her loving family at her side. She was born on December 23, 1942 in Mohawk, daughter of the late Edward and Ruth Loomis Treen. A lifelong area resident she was educated in Frankfort, Ilion and Mohawk public schools. On February 11, 1966 she married William S. Prosser in Baltimore, MD. Mrs. Prosser first worked for Beaunit Fibers in Utica and later as a waitress for Little Joe's Restaurant in Herkimer, retiring in 1982. She attended the Mohawk United Methodist Church. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing bingo. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family especially her grandchildren. She will never be forgotten. Surviving are her husband of thirty-six years William are two sons and their wives; Randy and Edna Prosser, William S. Jr. and Annamarie Prosser all of Mohawk, two daughters and their husbands; Jennifer and Gary Mead of Mohawk, Laura and Jason Duncan of Ilion, seven brothers; Edward Treen of FL, Charles Treen of Cedar Lake, John Treen of Schuyler, Richard Treen of Frankfort, Henry Treen of Boonville, Larry Treen of TX, Carl Treen of Mohawk, six sisters; Ruth Pleggie of FL, Cora Fuller of New York City, Elizabeth Hight, Helen Licari both of Frankfort, Jane of AZ, Genevieve Dunckel of Ilion, eleven grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents two sisters Virginia Treen and Buleah Johnson preceded her in death. Funeral service will be on Monday at 12:00 Noon in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. The Reverend Robert Wollaber will officiate. Mrs. Prosser will be laid to rest in the Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
