ILION-Elaine Ella Reed age 71 of Guy Prindle Apartments passed away on Friday afternoon November 4, 2016 at the home of her daughter Darlene Storms in Richfield Springs. She was comforted knowing that her loving family were at her side. She was born on August 3, 1945 in Richfield Springs, daughter of the late Kenneth and Stella Seeley Edick. Elaine was raised and educated in Richfield Springs. For many years she worked as a certified nursing assistant in various nursing homes around the Mohawk Valley and for many years at the Canterbury Villa in Bellinger, TX. She retired in 1986 to spend more time with her family. To all who knew her Elaine, was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family, especially her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Surviving are four sons, Michael Collins and his wife Barbara of Little Falls, Robert Earl Collins Jr. of Richfield Springs, Ronald Gene Bogue and his wife Lacy of Richfield Springs, Rick Jenkins and his wife Sonya of Teague, TX, two daughters, Darlene Storms and her husband Bruce of Richfield Springs, Katrina Lynn Graves and her husband John of Teague, TX, one brother, Keith Edick and his wife Angie of Minnesota, four sisters, Beverly Gomez and her husband Joseph of Canajoharie, Alyce Congdon of Ilion, Donna Hall and her husband Roland of Newport, Shirley Eberle of Utica, seventeen grandchildren including special grandchildren, Jennifer Farr and her fianc Daniel England, Patricia Hollis and Shannon Gillis, and many great-grandchildren, several nieces including special nieces Sherri Gerber and Kim, several nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Edick. Friends and relatives are invited to gather for a memorial service on Sunday November 13th at 3:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer.
