RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Eleanor B. Palmer, 80, of Truman Road, entered into eternal rest Monday morning, Sept. 1, 2003, in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown.
She was born Jan. 5, 1923, in the town of Russia, daughter of the late Leo and Myrtle Michael Coffin. Eleanor was educated in the Poland Central School. A Richfield Springs resident for the past 45 years, she came here from Burlington Flats. To her family, she was the strength that held them together. She will be greatly missed. Surviving are her companion, Howard H. Seamon of Richfield Springs; one son, Howard Lee Seamon of Sylvester, Ga.; a daughter, Bobby of Delta Lake; one brother, Sherwood T. and his wife Ethel Coffin; a sister, Shirley and her husband Charles Seamon, all of Frankfort; two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Five brothers and eight sisters predeceased her. Funeral service will be Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James St., Richfield Springs. The Rev. Alan Miller will officiate. Mrs. Palmer will be laid to rest in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Poland, at a later time convenient to the family. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Wednesday evening two hours prior to the funeral service, 6-8 p.m.
