Herkimer-Elfriede Anna Heimann, 88, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Tuesday. November 5, 2024, She was born on February 1, 1936 in Niederhadamar, Germany to Ferdinand and Anna Mai. She received her education in Germany and moved to the United States as a teen. On October 29, 1955 she was united in marriage to Johann Richard Heimann in Albany. They shared a devoted marriage of sixty-one years until his passing on June 3, 2017. Elfriede enjoyed skiing and would take her children and grandchildren on skiing trips. Her favorite time was the holidays when the whole family would get together. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by two daughters Gisel (David) Teachout, and Jordan. A brother Walter (Sieghilde)Mai, Sisters, Helga Heimann, Gisela (Herman) Schmidt, Sister-in-law Agnes Brem. Two grandsons, Christopher Teachout, Cameron (Sarah) Teachout, great grandchildren Tucker and Teagan Teachout. A graveside service will be private and at the convenience of the family.
