RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Elizabeth Burdick, 91, of East Main Street, formerly of Oneonta and widow of Robert Burdick, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004, in Valley Health Services Inc., Herkimer.
She was born Dec. 3, 1912, in Bridgeport, Conn., daughter of the late Steve and Julia Nagyhazi Zold. Elizabeth married Robert Burdick in 1946. They made their home in Oneonta. Mr. Burdick preceded her in death in 1970. While living in Oneonta, she had worked as a housekeeper. After her husband's passing, she moved to Richfield Springs, where she resided until October 2002. She was a resident of Valley Health Services Inc., Herkimer, since that time. All who knew her will remember a warm and gentle person who was very fastidious in her appearance. During her lifetime she enjoyed fishing, cooking and socializing with others. She had a strong belief in God and was of the Methodist faith.Surviving are her close friends, Mary and John Sadlon of Richfield Springs.Four brothers and sisters predeceased her.A funeral service will take place on Friday at 2 p.m. in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James St., Richfield Springs. The Rev. William Harkins, pastor of the Church of Christ Uniting, Richfield Springs, will officiate. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.Calling hours will be two hours prior to the funeral service from noon until 2 p.m
