Obituary

HERKIMER - Elizabeth "Betty" Keyser, 69, of King Street, entered into eternal rest on Thursday morning, June 23, 2005, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica. She was born March 23, 1936, in Herkimer, daughter of the late Michael and Grace Jackson Glogowski. A lifelong Herkimer resident, she was a graduate of Herkimer High School. On July 2, 1955, she was united in marriage with Henry N. Keyser in the First United Methodist Church, Herkimer, a loving and devoted union of 48 years. Mr. Keyser passed away on Dec. 16, 2003. For 20 years she worked in the Housekeeping Department at Folts Homes. She retired in 1997.She had a strong faith in God and was a member of the First United Methodist Church Herkimer/Little Falls. She was also a member of the Michael S. Pliseck VFW Post Ladies Auxiliary.Betty was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family, especially her three grandchildren. She will always be loved and never forgotten.Surviving are two sons, Henry N. Keyser Jr. of Greenfield, Mass., Dale and his wife Debra Keyser of East Herkimer; a sister, Ruth Renshaw and her husband Sydney of Herkimer; three grandchildren, Jessica Skuby of Connecticut, Brandon and Joshua Keyser of East Herkimer, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral service will take place on Monday at 10 a.m. in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court St., Herkimer. The Rev. Robert Lindsay will officiate. Mrs. Keyser will then be laid to rest with her husband in Middleville Cemetery.The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the charity of one's choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
