PITTSFIELD, MA-Elsie L. Moore age 88 of Maplegrove Drive entered into eternal rest on Saturday August 30, 2003 in Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield.
She was born on April 19, 1915 in Mahanoy City, PA daughter of the late Frank and Concetta Tomaino Lupia. A graduate of Oneonta Normal School, she substitute taught in Richfield Springs in 1934 and 1935. From 1935 to 1937 she taught full time in the town of Warren. On May 28, 1938 she married Lorence E. Moore in Richfield Springs with the Reverend Allen Brown officiating. Mr. Moore passed away on September 18, 1998.
Elsie loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be truly missed.
Surviving are two sons; Lorence E. Moore II and his wife Donna of Lenox, MA, Francis Moore and his companion Carol Minor of Boulder Creek, CA, one daughter; Laurel Moore of Flushing, Queens, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband Lorence she was preceded in death by two brothers; Francis Lupia (killed in action in World War II) and Eugene Lupia who passed away one month ago.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday September 6, 2003 at 11:00 am in Lakeview Cemetery, Richfield Springs. The Reverend John Dixon Bartle, Rector of Saint Johns Episcopal Church Richfield Springs will officiate.
