HERKIMER- Emily Dychko, age 84, a lifelong area resident passed away on Tuesday August 26, 2003 in Valley Health Services, Inc. She was born on August 22, 1919 in Herkimer a daughter of the late Charles and Aneila Psczole Wojciechowski. She was raised and educated in Herkimer. On May 28, 1938 she married John Dychko in the First Baptist Church Herkimer, a blessed and loving union of fifty-four years until his passing on May 30, 1992. Emily was a seamstress with Derby Sportswear in Herkimer retiring in 1970. Surviving her are a son Walter and his wife Linda Dychko of Herkimer, two granddaughters Beverly Stowell and her husband Scott of Malta, Melody Morris of Ilion and a great-grandson Parker Morris. Besides her parents and husband John she was preceded in death by a sister Virginia Volo. Funeral service in Fenner Funeral Home Inc. 115 Court Street Herkimer will be on Thursday at 1:30pm. The Rev. Robert Wells Pastor of the Free Methodist Church Herkimer to officiate. Interment will take place in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. The family asks that you may consider memorial contributions in Emilys name to the Herkimer County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
