COOPERSTOWN - Eugenie W. Call, 90, of Brunlar Court entered into eternal rest on Thursday afternoon, April 15, 2004, in her home. She was born on Aug. 15, 1913, in Burlington, Vt., daughter of the late John and Eugenie Willetts Deyette. Mrs. Call was raised in Gloversville and graduated from Gloversville High School with the "Class of 1933." A United States Navy veteran, she served our country proudly during World War II. She was honorably discharged in September of 1945 with the rank of Seaman 1st Class. On June 20, 1945, she married Woodrow W. Call. After a loving and devoted union of 25 years, Mr. Call preceded her in death in March of 1970. For 20 years Mrs. Call was a postal clerk for the U.S. Post Office in Northville, retiring in 1977. She came to Cooperstown in 1990, coming from Hope. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Gloversville. She was also a member since 1946 and past commander of American Legion Post No. 1076 in Northville. To all that knew her, they will remember her warm smile. Although Mrs. Call leaves no immediate relatives, she does leave many wonderful friends. It was her wish that services and interment be private. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the First Congregational Church, Gloversville or the Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown. Funeral arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James St., Richfield Springs.
